The Public Works Department is responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of the city’s public infrastructure. This includes the transportation, wastewater, drinking water and storm water systems, parks & recreation, and building and grounds maintenance. Individual customer service has been identified as the department’s number one priority.

Lead Service Line Inventory

Estacada has completed an inventory of water service lines to assess the presence of lead pipes within the water distribution system. This inventory was conducted in compliance with state and federal regulations aimed at reducing lead exposure in drinking water. Public water systems were required to conduct an inventory of all service lines, on both the water system side and the homeowner side of the meter. The results were submitted to OHA-Drinking Water Services prior to October 16, 2024.

The inventory was developed using a combination of existing data and field investigations. We are happy to report that no lead service lines were found in the City of Estacada.
