Place Holds on Materials

Notification of holds arrival

When materials you’ve placed on hold arrive at the library you are notified by phone or by e-mail. Calls are made either to the phone number or sent to the e-mail address you specify on your account. To change your notification method, ask at the circulation desk.

In addition to notifying you that your hold requests are available, the e-mail service will notify you 3 days in advance of your item being due and give you a link to renew.

For your security and to respect confidentiality, items on hold can only be picked up using the library card for whom the hold was placed. Materials are available self-serve next to the Circulation Desk.

How to manage your holds

It is possible to keep track of the items you place on hold. Access the LINCC FAQ (frequently asked questions) about holds and how to manage your library account.
