Promotion Committee

Estacada UncorkedPromotion positions the downtown or commercial district as the center of the community and hub of economic activity, while creating a positive image that showcases a community’s unique characteristics.

Events in Estacada generally spring from the recognition of our shared heritage and of the desire to make living and visiting here something memorable.

The Promotions Committee, a Main Street Approach designation, is the guiding force behind the primary events. They are:

  • 4th of July Parade
  • Estacada Oktoberfest
  • Shop Small Saturday (with Chamber of Commerce)
  • Christmas Tree Lighting

Estacada Uncorked is the largest of the events drawing hundreds of visitors for wine and microbrew tasting and locally sourced specialty foods. The vendors show their wares under a huge tent creating a fraternal social atmosphere. Live music encourages people to dance.

The 4th of July Parade prepares the local residents for the Timber Festival which is held on the same day in Timber Park. Downtown Estacada puts on the parade renowned for its huge rolling display of decorated log trucks. Then the crowd moves to Timber Park for the rest of the festivities.

Harvest Festival marries the celebration of the fall solstice with the joy of pumpkins (tongue in cheek). This event hosts all the school-age children to compete in events such as bike decorating and pie eating contests. Some enjoy painted faces or wear costumes, but it is early in the season. You can also enjoy the fine art of pumpkin painting.
