Youth in grades 2-5 (ages 6-11) are invited to read along with Ms. Deborah in the Beverly Cleary Children’s Choice Book Award Book Club.
Beverly Cleary Children’s Choice Book Award (BCCCA) is named in honor of the beloved Oregon-born children’s author. Children of all ages can vote each spring for their favorite title from the year’s nominated books. The winning title is announced each year on April 12, Beverly Cleary’s birthday.
BCCCA Book Club will meet one Friday a month from September to April, 10:30-11:30 a.m. There will be book discussions, crafts, literacy activities, and more (depending on group interest). A parent or guardian must remain at the library during the Book Club meeting.
