Med-Project

Estacada Public Library has partnered with Med-Project of Oregon, a non-profit who makes it easy for Oregonians to mail away unwanted and expired medication. By disposing of your medication safely, you can prevent medication from entering our waterways and keep unsafe medication out of the hands of youth.

How does it work?

Pick up your free postage-paid envelope at the Library. Bring it home and fill the envelope with unwanted and expired medication. Next, mail your envelope to Med-Project who will dispose of the medication safely. Please do not bring any medication to the library. You can ask for an envelope at the Circulation Desk.

What is accepted?

Medications in any dosage form, except for those identified as not accepted, in their original container or sealed bag.

What is not accepted?

Herbal Remedies, vitamins, supplements, cosmetics, other personal care products, medical devices, batteries, mercury-containing thermometers, sharps, illicit drugs, pet pesticide products, animal medication, and biologics.
