Project Summary
The project transformed a vacant space into a Visitors Center to house the Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Forest Service, alongside a retail space. Grant funding enabled interior restoration, historic exterior preservation, and expanded Chamber hours.
The Forest Service’s return will restore access to permits and information, while the Visitors Center will be a key resource for locals and tourists. Increased foot traffic will benefit downtown businesses, and the project enhanced aesthetics, will create jobs, and support economic growth. Plans for second-floor housing were also initiated, further contributing to the district’s revitalization.
