A theatrical production of The Year of Magical Thinking based on the, National Book Award winning and Pulitzer Prize finalist, memoir by Joan Didion. Starring powerhouse actress, Diane Kondrat, and featuring an original violin score composed and performed by Michelle Alany, this story of unexpected loss examines the power of grief and how we can heal from it’s effects.
This play, adapted by the author herself, recounts the year that both her husband and daughter died. It spotlights the force that grief is in our lives as well as how we can move forward through the trials of loss to heal ourselves. This event, as well as being a truly inspiring story of resilience, will also spark a discussion on the lasting effects of loss, grief, and how we can move forward individually and as a community into the future.
