As our climate changes, plants have far less capacity to adapt than do animals. But gardeners can impact our landscapes when we select plants--for the short and long term. And, if that's done correctly, we can use water effectively and efficiently to keep them alive and productive.

Bees are responsible for the reproduction of almost 90% of the world’s flowering plant species. Join us as we dive into their world—which often isn't what it seems at first glance.
12:00 - 12:30 p.m. Kris LaMar, Easy to Grow Native Plants
The plants we see around us may have been here for centuries--or they may have been considered "exotic", brought from other regions and continents. If we want to support our region's animals and resources, selecting native plant species is essential to keeping our gardens important to all of our survivals.
1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Parks & Rec Youth Maker’s Fair
The event is open to the public. Come browse artwork and crafts to purchase, all made from our local kids from grades K-12!
