What to Read Next?

Just finished your new favorite book and are looking for more like the one you just read? Let our librarians choose books for you, based on your reading preferences. This service is great for readers of any genre, including those who prefer fiction, non-fiction, audiobooks or even movie recommendations.

Answer questions on the book recommendation form (link below) about what you like to read and our librarians will create your personalized reading list. The more detailed your answers, the better we will be able to choose materials you will like. This service is available for both children and adults, and please submit only one request at a time (for yourself).

Book Recommendation Form

If you like suggestions about books to read, try NoveList, a readers’ advisory resource available on LINCC under, “Online Resources,” then “Literature, Poetry & eBooks.” NoveList offers read-a-likes, and recommendations using what the service calls “story elements.” NoveList explains, “Many different aspects of a book may catch your attention. NoveList calls these different aspects story elements. Our story elements include appeal terms, themes, and genres. Our team tags each book with appropriate story elements, making it easy to see if a book is right for you or your readers, and to search for similar books.”
