Public Safety & Municipal Court
Public Safety

The City of Estacada contracts with the City of Sandy to provide law enforcement services in Estacada for 10 hours each day. These services are provided through the Sandy Police Department. The contract includes the services of patrol/traffic enforcement deputies, investigative services, law enforcement support, and special services.

Because the City and School District have not been able to fund the position of School Resource Officer, the officers on duty also work with school administrators and staff on issues surrounding school safety and help provide a safe environment for students, staff, and parents on school property.

Municipal Court
The Estacada Municipal Court is a Violations Bureau and holds court every Tuesday from 10am – 2pm.  The Violations Bureau is authorized to accept your plea and may determine if the fine can be reduced based upon your prior driving record and the type of violation you received.

If an individual wishes to plead not guilty, staff will schedule a trial for the violation to be heard in front of the judge.  The citing officer will be notified and will attend the scheduled trial. Trials are held every first Wednesday of the month at 1pm.

We accept cash or check for court payments.  Please be advised that billing reminders and statements are not a Court service and failure to pay will result in the suspension of your driving privileges and your case will be assigned to a collection agency – which may increase the amount due.
