The City of Estacada contracts with Clackamas County to provide law enforcement services to the City for 10 - 12 hours each day. These services are provided through the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. The contract includes the services of patrol/traffic enforcement deputies, investigative services, law enforcement support, and special services.
The City has also partnered with Clackamas County and the Estacada School District to provide a school resource officer to the school district. Under this agreement, the County provides one Deputy Sheriff to serve as School Resource Officer for the 2010-2011 school year. This officer works with administrators and staff on issues surrounding school safety and helps provide a safe environment for students, staff, and parents on school property. The officer also investigates and documents criminal activity, monitors and enforces traffic issues in and around school property, along with other related tasks.

The Estacada Municipal Court is a Violations Bureau and holds court every Tuesday from 10am – 2pm. The Violations Bureau is authorized to accept your plea and may determine if the fine can be reduced based upon your prior driving record and the type of violation you received.
If an individual wishes to plead not guilty, staff will schedule a trial for the violation to be heard in front of the judge. The citing officer will be notified and will attend the scheduled trial. Trials are held every first Wednesday of the month at 1pm.
We accept cash or check for court payments. Please be advised that billing reminders and statements are not a Court service and failure to pay will result in the suspension of your driving privileges and your case will be assigned to a collection agency – which may increase the amount due. |
