Applicant. Whenever the word "applicant" is used in Sections 13.04.010 to 13.04.260 means any person making application for water service.

"Customer" means all the owners of the fee interest in real property to which water service is furnished; provided, however, that if the fee interest is subject to a contract of sale all the contract vendees shall be deemed to be the customer. Notwithstanding the foregoing, until January 1, 1985, any person who applied for and was receiving water service on the effective date of ordinance codified in this chapter shall be deemed a customer whether or not such person is the owner of the property to which water service is provided.

Customer Service Line. Whenever the phrase "customer service line" is used in Sections 13.04.010 to 3.04.260 means that part of the piping on a customer’s property that connects the service connection to the customer’s distribution system.

Service Connection. Whenever the phrase "service connection" is used in Sections 13.04.010 to 13.04.260 all means that portion of the water distribution system which connects the meter to the main and shall normally consist of a corporation stop, service pipe, curb stop and box, meter, meter yolk, and meter box.

Superintendent. Whenever the word "superintendent" is used in Sections 13.04.010 to 13.04.260, it means the person appointed by the city council to manage the affairs of the city water system. (Prior code § 3.005)
