All sidewalk, driveway and curb construction pursuant to a permit required by Section 12.08.010 shall be made and done at the sole expense of the owner of the property contiguous to such construction. The city shall be held harmless from all such expenses or any part thereof. Thereafter, such owner shall keep the construction in good condition and repair. The superintendent of public works shall have general supervision over sidewalk and curb construction. (Prior code § 2.245)
