BUILDING & ELECTRICAL PERMITS:

 

The City of Estacada administers structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical permits.  We contract our plan review and inspection services to a company called The Building Department, LLC.

 

The City took over the administration of our building permit program in 1996; this used to be coordinated by Clackamas County .  The electrical program was taken over from the County in 2001.

CODE COMPLIANCE:

The Code Compliance Officer responds to complaints about nuisances and code violations, such as: property and housing conditions, land use activities, noise or vehicle storage.

The Code Compliance Program is responsible for municipal code compliance and nuisance abatement.  The division is housed within the Public Works Department.  This program often resolves livability problems within the city.  The City accomplishes this through public education about adopted codes and nuisances, emphasis is on voluntary compliance before enforcement, conflict resolution, resource referral and ultimately court-ordered abatement.
