CONVENE MEETING
Mayor Austin opened the workshop at 6:00 pm.
Present: Cr.
Marli Stauffacher, Cr. Michele Conditt, Cr. Kay Nelson, Cr. Becky Arnold, Cr.
Ben Erickson, Mayor Bob Austin, CM Randy Ealy, CR Denise Carey.
Absent: Cr.
Richard Hartwig.
PGE RELICENSING STATUS –
Deb Shallert, PGE
Ms. Shallert reviewed some of the issues involving
the Estacada recreational area with the relicensing process: Timber Park overseen by PGE, the fish ladder
is under construction, the boat launch has been closed and will be moved to the
other side of the river (construction will begin next summer), non-motorized
boats will have a place to launch on the Estacada side, River Mill day area
will not reopen. Cr. Erickson would
love to see the pedestrian bridge happen to enhance the area.
Upstream enhancements proposed – Improvements at
Timothy Lake and Harriott Lake, and an increased law enforcement presence.
The overall proposed enhancements/improvements will
exceed $200,000,000.
