OLD BUSINESS

Arts & Culture Series 2005

Lesley although gone, sent a report.  She is working on the postcard that will be mailed out – she is just waiting for a couple more dates to confirm.  Jami has printed all mailing labels.  The following dates and events are scheduled to take place and will be added to the postcard:

(1) Fri., April 22 at 7:00 pm – Estacada Together presents the Portland Youth Philharmonic in the Estacada Auditorium

          (2) Fri., May 13 at 7:00 pm – Estacada Together presents Obo Addy in the Estacada Auditorium.

Katinka will connect with Lesley regarding the finishing up of the postcard and Jami will label and mail out as soon as they are completed.

Gloria agreed to contact Jane Troeh regarding providing refreshments at our events.  Jami will put together a basket for raffling off.

Centennial Arts Project Update

Katinka reported that she sent in the Meyer Memorial Trust grant on time.  Katinka is working on putting together another grant for this project.  May 25th is the deadline for the completion of the Centennial Arts Project and the unveiling.  Jami is collecting books/cds to sell on Amazon.com for another source of income for the project.  Bring her books!

Summer Celebration 2005

Jami had an opportunity to get a large color ad in the local newspaper very inexpensively so she asked Lesley to quickly create one.  It turned out very nice – thank you, Lesley.   Things are going along smoothly and the next meeting will be held Feb. 11th at 6:45 pm at Gloria’s house.

Clackamas Cultural Coalition Awards Announcement

Jane wanted to remind us that the Clackamas Cultural Coalition will be recognizing cultural leaders in the county.  There will seven $1,000 awards for organizations and six $500 awards for individuals.  The nomination process is open to everyone.

NEW BUSINESS

Estacada Together

Jane reported on the brainstorming workshop that was facilitated on Jan. 22 by Cheryl Snow of the Arts Action Alliance of Clackamas County.  About 12 local people participated, including Jane, Angel and Jami.  One of their main focus points was to identify key people for volunteering.  Some others were a name change – to better clarify what the group is about, and the true purpose of the group.  They will hold an additional meeting on Wed., Feb. 16th at Jane’s house.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.

The next meeting will be held March 2, 2005.

Respectfully submitted,

Jami Berry, Secretary
