BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

VIEWPOINT RESTAURANT

February 6, 2004 – 8:00 AM

1. CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 pm.

2. ROLL CALL

Present: Leroy Layton, Gary Ames, Bob Akins, Jerry Griggs and guest Dawn Griggs.

Absent: Traci Hovda

3. APPROVE MINUTES OF DECEMBER 5, 2003 REGULAR MEETING

Consensus was to approve the minutes as presented.

4. NEW BUSINESS

The Board discussed the financial situation of the District. They would like Traci to give them a break down of revenue and expenses. They will then look at cutting timber at some of the Cemeteries to raise revenue, then as a last choice, they may look at laying Jerry off.

The Board discussed the timber issue at length. They also would like to get another article in the local paper about the financial crisis the District is in an attempt to raise plot sales and generate revenues. They discussed rates, discounts, and cost cutting efforts.

The tree has been cut down in the George Cemetery. Gary & Brian will help Jerry with the cleanup.

Bob stated that he attended the City’s annual summit meeting last weekend. The City told Bob that they would be willing to have their staff help resetting grave stone any time we need help. Timberlake also offered to have students come down to help us with any projects.

5. OLD BUSINESS

The Board discussed the Phillip Cemetery and their needs.
