ESTACADA BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

ESTACADA CITY HALL, COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TUESDAY, MAY 11, 2004 – 6:30 P.M.

CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Mayor Austin.

Present: Sue Campbell, Bob Morrisey, Aaron Gant, Michele Cheshier, Kay Nelson, Pam Butcher, Marli Stauffacher, Cliff Atkinson, Bob Austin, Gary Lewis, Ben Erickson, Randy Ealy, Denise Carey, Beth McKinnon.

Absent: Brent Dodrill, Cliff Gavic, Becky Arnold.

SELECTION OF CHAIR, VICE-CHAIR AND SECRETARY

Kay Nelson nominated Cliff Atkinson for chair. Sue Campbell seconded the nomination. There were no further nominations. Cliff Atkinson was unanimously voted Chair.

Sue Campbell nominated Marli Stauffacher as Vice-Chair and Secretary. Kay Nelson seconded the motion. Being no further nominations, Marli Stauffacher was unanimously voted Vice-Chair and Secretary.

PUBLIC HEARING – STATE SHARED REVENUES

Chair Atkinson opened the public hearing for possible uses of State Shared Revenues. There was no public input. Chair Atkinson closed the public hearing.

PRESENTATION OF BUDGET MESSAGE

Budget Officer Randy Ealy reviewed the budget process and gave a presentation on goals and projects. He stated that the budget is goal driven. BO Ealy reviewed the charts in the budget.

BO Ealy read the budget message. He encouraged the committee to review the budget and to call with any questions they may have before the next meeting.

ANNOUNCE DATE OF NEXT MEETING – May 25, 2004

Chair Atkinson announced the next meeting of the budget committee will be on May 25, 2004 at 6:30 pm in the Council chambers.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 pm.
