Meeting called to order: By Julie Howland (President)

April 9, 2003 Minutes: Read by Secretary, M.V.Whitney approved

with amendments.

President’s Update: Julie reported that our board meetings need to be positive and functional. A Junior Chamber was mentioned @ the high school level and @ the junior high level. The leadership class could be involved. Chamber will ask Keppie Kepplinger to do future grant writing and get a percentage of the grant as pay if grant is successful.

Financial Report: Becky-No report

Robert’s Rules of Order: Whitney-reviewed making motions and basic parliamentary procedure.

Truck Raffle: Becky- Reported that the Chamber sold 4 tickets @ the Civil War Reenactment. The Chamber has sold 50 tickets to date.

Staff Report to Board: Lisa- On file @ Chamber office.

4^th of July: Lisa/Becky-Reported:

- “Salute to Independence” theme

Meetings to be held @ Dan Skoog’s house on Thursday nights-7PM.

Chamber to work with the City on this event.

Next mtg. May 29.

Big Stink:Becky/Lisa – Reported:

NRK radio station has sole rights to H2O.

Chamber can do parking for event>

Sell food?

We can use Chamber house @ Timber Park if renovated.

New Committee Event: Julie reported:

-Chamber to work with city to provide “Welcome packages” for new businesses.

TDC-Mt. Hood territory posters (for sale) and catalogs were displayed.
