Minutes: Read by Secretary, M.V.Whitney approved
with amendments.
President’s Update: Julie reported that: WEB page for Chamber good idea.
Needs “Chamber at its Best”. New Chamber members, renewals, job postings, Etc.
Need cost on additional web space Steve to check. Julie reported that Estacada Kiwanis is disbanding. They want to
partner with the Estacada COC. Motion carried to allow former Estacada Kiwanis
partner with the COC.
Financial Report: Becky- $702.81 General Checking, $677.00
Savings, $8000.13 TDC, A/R $2977.00. this is due to no renewals/slow renewals.
Lisa diligently working with those not able to rene. A/P $8497.00 $7k of this
is Western Display. Steve Stone motioned to check into obtaining a loan for COC.
Motion carried to check into obtaining a loan for COC.
Truck Raffle: Becky/Lisa- 6 more tickets sold. Steve working on
corporate level ticket sales. Weston to donate 10 tickets to needy families in
area. Whitney made a Truck Raffle banner N/C to use @ Dean Holden’s office
window and @ raffle sale table. Tickets on sale @ Civil War Reenactment.
Staff Report to Board: Lisa- On file @ Chamber office.
4th of July: Lisa- 22 vendor applications out. Parade
applications printed and ready to go. Clinkscales and Honey Bucket bidding on
portables-Lisa to compare quotes and pick the lowest. Diedre found company to
do cones for HWY 224 and collect cones when done. Steve suggested that the beer
garden stay open from 2:00PM-11:30PM. A private short fireworks display to be
shown @ 11:15PM. Budweiser will provide free banners (Baha Grill). Tanya
Phillips reported that she wants the Estacada COC to continue being in charge
of the parade and not turn it over to the city. Lisa contacted Canby Trophy for
quote on trophies. Next 4th of July meeting: Wednesday, April 23rd-7PM
@ Dan Skoog’s house.
Swap Meet: Lisa suggested COC doing a swap meet or flea market
@ Timber Park next year as fundraiser.
Car Show: Jeff Gray- Too late in season this year. September
is the best month-take a lot of planning. Tanya suggested combining the car
show with swap meet.
