Estacada Parks and Recreation Commission

Minutes – November 26, 2003

Chairperson Turk called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM

Members Present:

Dianna Turk, Tracie Lougheed , Deb Weikum, Pam Peterson, Cheryl Copeland and Roxanne Morrisey. Rob Kowalewski was excused.

Minutes from the previous Meeting:

The minutes of the 10/22/03 meeting were reviewed. Tracie Lougheed made a motion to approve the minutes as written. And Roxanne Morrisey seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Citizen’s Concerns & Comments:

None

Staff Report:

None

Unfinished Business:

Chairperson Turk made a motion to cancel the December 2003 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. Cms. Peterson seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

The Wade Creek grant that Cms. Weikum worked on did not go through.

Commissioner Peterson is researching a 9-11 grant.

The Master Plan was presented to the Estacada City Council on 9/8/2003.

New Business:

Chairperson Turk noted that there would be four openings on the Parks and Recreation commission in January 2004. Deb Weikum will not be re-applying, Rob Kowalewski is undecided at this time. Tracy Lougheed and Cheryl Copeland will be re-applying. Chairperson Turk will e-mail City Manage Ealy to have the openings posted.

The agenda was sent for the 01/28/04 meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:05 PM.
