CITY OF ESTACADA BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

ESTACADA CITY HALL, COUNCIL CHAMBERS

475 SE MAIN STREET, ESTACADA, OREGON

TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2002 – 6:30 PM

 

A.     CALL TO ORDER BY PRESIDING OFFICER                                

 

Mayor Austin called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

 

Present:  Bob Austin, Cliff Atkinson, Marli Stauffacher, Richard Hartwig, Kay Nelson, Jackie Freeborn, Michele Cheshier, Dave Keebler, Brent Dodrill, Sue Campbell.

 

Absent:  Pam Butcher, Jane Troeh, Cliff Gavic, Sandra Pense.

 

B.     SELECTION OF CHAIR, VICE-CHAIR AND SECRETARY

 

Kay Nelson nominated Cliff Atkinson chair.  Bob Austin seconded the nomination.  Nominations were closed and Cliff Atkinson was unanimously appointed chair.

 

Kay Nelson nominated Michele Cheshier for vice chair and secretary.  Cliff Atkinson seconded the nomination.  Nominations were closed and Michele Cheshier was unanimously appointed vice chair/secretary.

 

C.     PRESENTATION OF BUDGET MESSAGE – Budget Officer Ealy

 

CM Ealy presented the budget to the committee.  He read the budget message and reviewed the graphs, charts and spreadsheets in the budget.

 

D.     PUBLIC HEARING – STATE REVENUE SHARING

 

Chair Atkinson opened the public hearing to discuss possible uses of the state shared revenue funds.  There was no public input.  Chair Atkinson closed the public hearing.

 

The next meeting will be on May 7, 2002 at 6:30 pm at City Hall.

        The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 pm.
