1. CONVENE MEETING
Mayor Austin
called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.
Present: Cr. Butcher, Cr. Akins, Cr. Hartwig (arrived
5:35 pm), Cr. Atkinson, Cr. Gavic, Cr. Troeh, Mayor Austin, CM Ealy, CR Carey,
PWS Strawn.
2. ATTORNEY REQUEST FOR RATE INCREASE
CM Ealy gave some background regarding the attorney fees and what other cities are currently paying for attorney fees. The other fees are comparable to the requested fees.
The Council
discussed the attorney’s request for an increase from $80 per hour to $100 per
hour and $125 per hour for litigation.
3. UTILITY RATE
INCREASES
CM Ealy presented the council with two packets of information regarding the water system and the funds that support it. The council discussed the information and staff answered questions regarding the requested 5% rate increase.
