Minutes September 5, 2001 Estacada Arts Commission Meeting

August Minutes Approved

Reports:
Winter Arts Exhibit- Petals and Treasures is rented. Gloria is looking
for alternatives. We always have the Community center. Brent suggested
empty building by Mike's 2nd Hand. Katinka has contacted and received
confirmation from RACC and CCAAA  that they are sending representatives.
OAC has sent newsletters and printed info, no rep. K will follow up on a
rep. Need to think about movable walls and refreshments, and notifying
artists and publicity.

Estacada Summer Celebration-
Bill Flood said it was okay to apply again for the same grant. Jane and
Katinka think it may be better to apply for the Hwy Beautification Civic
Improvement via OAC, and do a Meyer Memorial Trust Grant for the ESC
2002. Evaluation was submitted by Katinka on Thursday Sep 6th to OAC.
Norma has volunteered to begin on notebook of chores and jobs of ESC
2001 to make it easy to access information for 2002. Thank You Norma!
Thank you cards were written to volunteers. Need to get lists of artists
to thank.

Spring Arts and Lecture Series-
Ellen will order books from Oregon Council for the Humanities for
Chatauqua and may contact Emily Orlando for CCC authors and performers.
Jane will contact Alicia for clarinet performance if we decide at next
meeting to continue with series.

Artists' Repertory Theater-
Jane contacted Kate Hawkes and set up meeting for September 13 at her
house with Lewis and Clark Pageant group. Norma and Katinka may also
attend. 7 pm??
