B. ESTACADA
REVITALIZATION DISCUSSION:
-Staff
Presentation (Timelines; Financing; Estacada Strategic Plan)
CM Ealy presented
information regarding revitalization of Estacada.
Guest Speaker
Jeff Tashman discussed Economic Development and Urban Renewal. Urban Renewal is a tool that communities use
to help with buying real estate and finance building projects. Urban renewal programs allow cities to set up
an agency to help develop areas that need to be revitalized.
The Planning
Commission and Council members discussed the information and the idea of
developing an urban renewal district. It
was consensus to have staff continue the development of a district.
