2001 ESTACADA CITY MANAGER’S GOALS

1.            Be available to the Mayor and Councilors, management staff and other staff as needed, and provide leadership.

2.            Make the City accessible, understandable and responsive to the public, and ensure citizens’ views are heard.

3.            Ensure that the City Manager’s knowledge of city operations and management skills are adequate and current to better direct and support staff, advise Council, and improve service.

4.            Ensure that the City Manager’s knowledge of the physical, social, political, economic, cultural and intergovernmental aspects of the City is adequate and current to better understand and respond to the needs of the citizens of Estacada.

5.            Help the City to develop a more positive and pro-active environment in which to achieve a preferred future through communication and training.

6.            Look for better ways to provide the best and most reliable public services at the lowest possible cost through improved efficiency, effectiveness, innovation and cooperation.

7.            Ensure that City laws, policies and procedures are up to date, known and followed, and that City records are accurate, safe and retrievable.
